| A former Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway 2-4-2T No 50818 performs station pilot duty at Sowerby Bridge in West Yorkshire as an LMS class 4 2-6-4T reverses out of the station. This was one of the many mill towns in Lancashire and Yorkshire with the huge brick or stone built 'dark satanic mills' as they were often described because of the tough working conditions within.
