Happy New Year! the Sign at the gas station in Woodburn, Indiana proclaims as leased NS power picks up cars from the NS interchange bound for Lafarge Cement at Paulding on a snowy New Years Eve. The Napoleon, Defiance and Western now operates the ex Maumee and Western. Venturing onto rails that Norfolk Southern power has not traveled on since they sold the line to the Indiana Hi Rail in 1989, in 1997 the line went to the Maumee and Western and on Dec 28, 2012 the line became Pioneer Railcorp's Napoleon, Defiance and Western.
The locomotive is pulling what is the new railroads first revenue train from either interchange! A historical moment! The Leased NS power is not long for this world as PREX power is being sent as we speak.
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
