A Canon City and Royal Gorge passenger train is departing Canon City, Colorado, on the afternoon of June 3, 2011. CC&RG F7 No. 403 is a former Chicago and North Western locomotive. The second-to-the-last car in the train is a former passenger car with the top and most of the sides cut off and serves as an open air car, which is really a great way to see the Royal Gorge!
While Colorado's narrow gauge steam railroads are the major draw, the state is also home to several diesel-powered tourist railroads that take passengers to the Royal Gorge and other sites.
