Remarks & Notes
GSC Floating Bolster 3 Truck
The FB-3 truck was created by two casting foundries, General Steel Castings Corporation (GSC) and Adirondack Steel Castings for use on GE six axle locomotives. With a traction motor arrangement similar to the EMD Flexicoil truck, the FB-3 had a wheelbase of 13’ 7” just like the EMD Flexicoil. This truck started making an appearance under GE models in 1966 and provided support for the Phase II U28C through Dash 8 model lines until it was replaced by the Dofasco Hi-AD truck in 1993. This version of the GSC FB-3 was cast by Rockwell International who bought GSC years earlier.

Pace and pan shots of trains from on the ground or in the air. If you're not in the locomotive cab or on-board the train, it's the next best thing to being there.

An exclamation attributed to TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson, it is this eponymous expression of which certain images convey man and machine versus nature . . .

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
