| For most of the previous day myself and three railfan buddies made the long journey from the upper Midwest to Laurel Montana. With information that the LM has departed Laurel with three venerable SD40-2XRs we kept driving to Livingston where we picked them up at Bozeman Pass. The chase was on. Under cloudy skies the train ran but near Helena the sun broke from the clouds. With only a few minutes of glorious sunlight left we napped the LM before it make it's landing in Helena. Needless to say we were all pleased. This would become the only MRL train on our trip in full sun. |
