Remarks & Notes
Baiyin Mineral Railway SY 1470 steams uphill through the scenic Loess canyons that characterize this part of China. This train, bound for the Shenbutong Quarry, is the last revenue (non-tourist) standard gauge steam passenger train in the world. In fact, despite the fantastic scenery this is definitely no tourist railway, but instead the Baiyin Railway serves two smelters and a massive quarry.
