Sitting in the deadline at Milwaukee Road's engine facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 5th, 1978, is Fairbanks-Morse H10-44 761 (originally MILW 1803, built in 6/45 at F-M's factory in nearby Beloit). This engine would be officially retired the month after this photo, and scrapped by PNC in September 1978. (Photographer unknown, Craig Walker collection)
