Remarks & Notes |
I would like to thank each and every Railpictures viewer and all at the Railpictures website who have made possible ONE MILLION views of my images since April 2008. This is humbling indeed and I have enjoyed sharing each and every 'railway moment' with you all. Thanks again. By way of another very special event, this weekend has seen 'King Edward II' finally emerge in all its glory from a very lengthy restoration. 6023 is one of only three surviving members of the 'King' class introduced in the 1920s by the Great Western Railway and is the first to be restored in authentic (if not to everyone's taste) early British Railways blue livery. I think the locomotive looks superb. |
