Remarks & Notes
Rio Grande Utah Division Engineer Jim Ozment offers the photographer a gesture of strength and might as he prepares his high rail vehicle for inspection of the track through Spanish Fork Canyon. Jim had much to be proud of as the relocation of the mainline from the town of Thistle through the new 3009 ft. tunnel was completed under his direction. After a lifelong devotion to the preservation of railroad history, Jim passed away in Golden, Colorado in Dec. 2009.
