| Soo train 222 powered by Soo 778 and Milwaukee 140 is just getting started out of LaCrescent with 117 cars on a gorgeous October afternoon in 1986. The line south of LaCrescent was a scenic spot to catch Soo/Milwaukee action as it bordered the Mississippi. Only a few trains a day used the line and they tended to move along at 30-35mph which was great as you could pace along on the two lane highways and get ahead for shot after shot. |
