L&N RS36 No. 910, mated with a slug, rests between shifts at Loyall, KY on a steamy May 30, 1978. No. 910 began life as Tennessee Central No. 301. L&N had some interesting slug sets. They did a good job converting RS3s to slugs, the lines were clean and they really looked nice. Over the years I saw them mated with C420s, RS36s, U25Bs, and if I recall correctly a C430.
