Remarks & Notes
Rare sight in Abo Canyon
A westbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe grain train crosses Bridge 872.2 in Abo Canyon near Sais, New Mexico, on May 21, 1999. The specially-painted Burlington Northern “Desert Storm” SD60M No. 1991 leads the train through the scenic canyon. Trailing are a green BN SD40-2, a leased HLCX SD40, a BNSF “Heritage I” painted SD40-2 and another BN SD40-2.
