Remarks & Notes 
The 51 Santa Fe Mountain type locomotives were built by Baldwin between 1918 and 1924 and were the power of choice for long-distance passenger trains in the western states until engines with drivers whose diameters eventually reached 80 inches were required to meet schedules. No. 3746, delivered in 1924, had 69-inch drivers.
