Rio Grande's compact diesel repair shop stands proudly at Helper Yard on New Year's Day, 1988. When the Southern Pacific came to town, management painted over the large flying 'Rio Grande' logo, even though the yard was filled with Rio Grande tunnel motors and SD50s!
