Feeling a bit ambitious I decided to snow shoe out to this spot where the Alaska Railroad crosses the Knik River on a truss bridge with plenty of mountains and snow in the back ground. I think the effort was worth the result. A coal train crosses the bridge at MP 148.7 en-route to Healy for loading.
