Remarks & Notes
Today (April 26) saw the running of what is reported to be the very last regular bulldog-rostered scheduled passenger service in the world, being the 06.12 up Bacchus Marsh to Southern Cross, in Melbourne. The last down working occurred on the 16.15 to Bacchus Marsh on Wednesday April 24, with an N class rostered on tonights 16.15 down service (yesterday being a public holiday with a Saturday timetable). All the services during the last week of operation were fittingly hauled by Victoria's oldest bulldog locomotive, former B60, dating from 1952 and rebuilt as A60 in 1984. With less than a week to go, the previous Friday sees A60 picking its way through Regional Rail Link construction work as it departs Footscray on the 8129 down service to Bacchus Marsh.
