All is quiet on the McCloud. With the railroad's only operational locomotive left derailed on the line for several weeks and much of the railroad's equipment scrapped, or marked to be scrapped, the future doesn't look bright for the famous McCloud River Railroad. A Monday morning visit found the railroad's shops quiet and empty. Snow plow #1850, which has been on the railroad since 1952, is seen on the left.
