Remarks & Notes
Three N&W road-slug sets bring up the rear end of a "double south" Belews Creek coal train at JK during late 1994. Growing up in South Roanoke, I'll never forget the sound a "double" tackling Starkey Hill. These trains are still running today, but the sound show pales in comparison to the C39-8s, SD40-2s, and road-slug sets that used to rule the grade 20 years ago.
