After backing off the wye at Portage, ARR 4324 leads a Princess Cruises train north toward Anchorage. On Saturdays when the cruise trains are running, Portage seemingly generates trains out of thin air as they just tend to appear here. This was the 4th train I caught in Portage this particular evening, and after a loooooong winter with little daylight and minimal train movements, catching 4 trains in just a couple hours is a real treat on the Alaska Railroad!
