Remarks & Notes
With no load on offer, this pair of class 18E's is running light engine through Dryden, heading east to Witbank. The leading locomotive is 18-011, one of the first series of 18E's rebuilt from 6E1's. On the left is the old Dryden station building and signal cabin, kept relatively safe from vandalism by sturdy security fencing. Photograph taken during Tanago's recent South Africa railfan tour.
