Limited Express SUNRISE IZUMO is a doubledeck overnight train between Tokyo and Izumoshi, which runs with 7-car 285 series EMUs since 1998. Between Tokyo and Okayama, it runs combined with another 7-car EMU of the SUNRISE SETO bound for Takamatsu on Shikoku island. The 5 built EMUs are operated jointly by JR Central and JR West. Sunrise Izumo is running along the Shinji-ko lake near Tamatsukurionsen towards Izumoshi.
