Remarks & Notes
Westbound trains passing through Magaliesburg face a stiff climb up 1 in 40 grades out of the valley towards Watershed and Vlakdrif. This trio of class 34's, led by 34-120 in original SAR red livery, are approaching Perry's Curve with their train of containers train bound for Mafikeng. Perry's Curve is named after the late Roger Perry, who found this location way back in the sixties when the exhaust beat from steam locomotives echoed around these hills.
