Remarks & Notes
Built by Electro-Motive Division in 1981 for Amtrak, AEM-7 No. 932 rests in the Ivy City locomotive complex undergoing maintenance. Assigned to passenger service along the Northeast Corridor between Washington and Boston and Keystone Service between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Amtrak's AEM-7's, or commonly referred to as the meatballs are some of the most well documented work horses of the Northeast Corridor over the past three decades. The New Siemens ACS-64 model currently being manufactured on the west coast will ultimately replace Amtrak's AEM-7's in the upcoming years.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
