Ex Queensland Railways class DD17 tank engine climbs the first reverse to Top Points with a train to Clarence. The line was part of the Western Line which closed after a ten tunnel deviation was opened in 1910. It re-opened in 1975 as a heritage line at a new 3' 6"/ 1067mm gauge.

Zig Zag Railway is a heritage railway near Lithgow, NSW which was part of the Main Western line by-passed by ten tunnel deviation in 1910. Re-opened with 1067mm gauge in 1975, it has a switchback on 1 in 42 gradient, 2 tunnels and 3 stone arch viaducts.
