Remarks & Notes
The west bound Empire Builder is 36½ miles out of Wenatchee as it passes by the old LongFibre Mill property at 7:56 am, running about an hour behind at this point. Soon it will travel under the crest of the Cascade Mountain Range via the Cascade Tunnel, completing its 2205 mile journey into Seattle along the shores of Puget Sound.

This train, which runs between Chicago and Seattle and Portland, takes its name from James J. Hill, who founded the Great Northern Railroad and extended it from Minnesota to the Pacific Coast.
