Remarks & Notes

The true headless horseman of the mountains: the Haysi Railroad 1. Originally CRR 852, the B-unit was sold and converted to be operated by radio control between the tipples. The locomotive still exists today at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum awaiting a desperately needed restoration. 616 negative from my collection, photo by Charles "Ken" Marsh.
