| Once the primary power for excursion at the museum 2043 has been relegated to greeter service for patrons arriving at the museum. Her sister 2086 survives on the grounds also and is operational. Museum volunteers lovingly painted the blue and white Southern inspired scheme in the 80's when the museum acquired it's 5.5 miles of former Southern trackage on the LL branch but with 2043 out of service attention to care of other pieces has left her looking worse for wear. A couple of other large pieces are undergoing repainting at the museum, maybe 2043 can get in line for her own turn soon. |
