DB 4-6-2 No 03 089 arrives at Eller with train P2450, the 14.25 Koblenz to Trier personenzug (stopping passenger train). In the far distance the Kaiser Willhelm tunnel portal can be seen. This was the longest railway tunnel in Germany until surpassed by a new tunnel on a high speed line. In the past three years or so a second tunnel has been constructed from Eller to Cochem to enable the old tunnel to be repaired and brought up to modern safety standards.
