Remarks & Notes

Even prior to the excursion era that president Tom Moore initiated and was made famous by the Clinchfield 1, the Clinchfield still conducted special passenger trains and utilized their beautiful fleet of F-units in their gray and yellow scheme. Awaiting departure on a cool and rainy morning, Clinchfield 810 takes the point with several of the passenger cars in the fleet in tow. 35mm slide from my collection, photographer unknown.
