Interchanging with CSX's Ohio River Subdivision at Point Pleasant, NS' Illinois Terminal heritage SD70ACe negotiates through rough trackage as it climbs out of the interchange lead and onto the Secondary mainline south of town. Despite roaming NS' system rails and other class one routes, NS' heritage locomotives have never led a train on NS' West Virginia Secondary north of Dickinson. Making its inaugural run, the Illinois Terminal heritage ACe and its healthy consist of mixed freight will follow the route of the NYC WV Secondary to Charleston, alongside the Kanawha River through much of central West Virginia.
