| Georgia Northeastern GP38 no. 9708 which was built for Penn Central in November 1969 is unique in the fact that its one of few examples of the extended cab which as built featured dual control stands. Although in this view at the carrier's yard in Marietta, Ga. it is hard to see this feature, the 9708 camps out during the night with GNRR GP18 no. 8705 which was built in June 1960 as Nickle Plate no. 708. |
