Remarks & Notes
Just after a rather splendid spring sunrise in Pietermaritzburg this morning, as the overnight, Durban Bound, Shosholoza Meyl / Trans Natal, with 18-430 / 18-429 in charge cross the Pentrich Viaduct. The train was running late and still has approximately 2 hours of the journey left before arriving at its destination.

An overnight economy class passenger train that runs between Johannesburg and Durban (and return) operated by Shosholoza Meyl / PRASA. In its hey day it was one of the most popular passenger trains operated by the South African Railways.
