"It's embarrassing when I got called on duty before my face could get washed, so I just have to go like it is." The 55 tunnels on the 277-mile Clinchfield kept its diesels in need of frequent washing, when time allowed. Class engine 800 lead this Southbound through Fordtown, Tenn. on an overcast March 3, 1965.
