Remarks & Notes
The only two BNSF engines to wear Union Pacific colors, PR30Cs 1323 and 1322, sit in the engine facility at San Bernardino, California, on October 26th, 2013. BNSF 1323 began life as Canadian Pacific SD40-2 5647. After being sold to Progress Rail, it was rebuilt into a PR30C, and numbered PRLX 3005. PRLX 3002 through 3005 were painted in UP colors (and even had UP shields on the cab seats!) in anticipation of a sale to the UP. When UP didn't bite, they were sold to BNSF. BNSF 1320 and 1321 have been repainted into full BNSF colors, but on October 26th, 2013, 1322 and 1323 were still in Armour Yellow and Harbor Mist Gray, making them two of the most unusual BNSF locomotives on the system. Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE
