| UP 5641 and a second unit have brought this westbound grain train part way around Arnold’s Loop. The location is the east side of Silver Zone Pass on the Union Pacific Shafter sub in far eastern Nevada. The grade here is 1%. That second unit is CN 5738, an SD70I and it is a long way from home rails. The train is just now entering a series of deep rock cuts that continue on and off to nearly the summit of the pass. |
