Engineer Vern King has a grimy set of C628's in full dynamic as they ease down to the ore yard at Escanaba on a warm Spring day in 1977. C628's 6710, 6730, 6715 lead 108 loads and after a long day of dragging a string of empties up to Empire Mine, doubling out two cuts of loads to Partridge and getting hosed with a two train meet at Little Lake, in less than an hour it will be "Miller Time".
This will be photos that were taken north of Green Bay on the C&NW ore lines. Mainly photos of ore trains will be in this album along with some manifest trains and switch jobs that worked the area.
