Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #564 finds a small patch of sunlight as it passes through Orange, California, on December 7th, 2013. This train, heading from Los Angeles to San Diego, has 6 regular Surfliner coaches behind the 455, and then four privately-owned passenger cars carrying World War II veterans (this is, after all, the 72nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor) and on the rear, Amtrak P42DC 42 - Amtrak's engine painted to honor America's veterans. (For those wondering about the signs on the right, the green sign is a speed limit sign - passenger trains on the top, freights on the bottom - and the white signs indicate that there are four grade crossings ["X"] ahead, but that no horn blowing is allowed as this is a Quiet Zone ["QZ"].)
