| Milw train 246 used to call at the Rapids right around sunset on the longest summer days. Here the head brakeman is about to bail off and make the cut and the Milw 365, 353 and Soo 4412 will leave there train here and pull ahead to make a pick up. This is the last shot of the day and the sun will be set before this job departs. The Soo is now running the combined Soo/Milwaukee Road and although the schedule and train number remains the same the trailing 38 adds some red and white to what had been a pure Milwaukee scene for years. |
