An A-B-B-A set of MKT F units hauls southward tonnage at Sterrett between Dallas and Waxahachie, Texas on Sept. 3, 1966. The Katy had a mixture of diesels equipped with steam boilers for passenger service, including this lead unit 78-A. Trains of the Rock Island and the FtW&D also traveled this track. Note the exposed tri-level flatcar of automobiles which became targets of vandals.
