Remarks & Notes
A reverse move eastward with the brakeman visible on the platform of the EMD unit. The power lashup is en route back to former NKP home rail after setting out some cars on the Elgin Joliet & Eastern siding. The old Hobart lumberyard can be seen up track in the distance. This fairly scenic branch line was intact and in service until summer of 1985. It has since been replaced with a bike trail. Imagine that.
