The Bananas on KCT Train 311 have a decent sized inbound for tomorrow's day crew to switch out. I was part of that crew and wound up spotting several of these cars to industries.
Here the train is pictured at Broadway on the UP KC Metro Sub. from the Town of Kansas Bridge, returning to KCT Mill Street Yard from KCS Knoche Yard.
This wound up being the last train to utilize this routing for the next 6 months, due to the KCT Incline at Broadway being removed for reconstruction of the deteriorating concrete retaining wall located there.
KCT-KCS Transfers will operate via the KCT Main for the duration of the project. Trains en route to UP Neff Yard will shove out of Mill Street, then pull west across the Kaw River Bridge and up the UP Freight Lead past Armourdale Yard, then run on the UP KC Metro Sub. through the West Bottoms to Broadway. This routing will also apply to some BNSF-KCS Transfers, and some UP trains coming off the Spine Line bound for Neff Yard.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
