Remarks & Notes
The E653 series EMU's were first introduced in 1997 and are dual voltage 1 500vDC / 20kV AC units. They operated "Fresh Hitachi Limited Express" services between Ueno in Tokyo and Iwaki via the Joban Line, until withdrawn in March 2013. The only E653 series now operating in the Tokyo metro area are used on special trains, such as this one seen passing Uguisudani on a Saturday afternoon. A green 7-car set is teamed up with a 4-car orange set.
