Remarks & Notes

A trip down memory lane, CNW train 483 rolls west with U30C 936 on the point, and two SD45s trailing (949 and an unknown No.), crossing the Soo-Milwaukee diamond at Eau Claire tower. CNW SW1 No 1278 has a transfer for Altoona on the Duluth line, waiting for No. 483 to pass before weaving through the manual interlocking. Today the tower may be visited in Eau Claire's Carson Park.
