| One lone passenger waits to board this E4 series MAX Shinkansen as it comes to a stop alongside track 13 at Omiya station, en route to Tokyo (MAX = Multi Ammenities Express). The bi-level E4's operate in 8-car sets and seat 817 passengers. This particular set P82 was the last of the E4 series to enter service in 2003 and the entire series will be withdrawn by 2016. |
