Ja 1240 was built around 1950 by Hillside, Dunedin and is seen near Lichfield with a Railway Enthusiasts' Society excursion train from Auckland to Tokoroa. The Kinleith branch serves nearby Fonterra cheese plant and a paper mill at Kinleith near Tokoroa.
