Normally green lights are the opposite of what drivers see when the street they're on is crossed by a train. That's what we see here, though, thanks to the Northeast Corridor's famously small number of grade crossings. Instead, there are many rail overpasses. This one over Boston Post Rd., allows Amtrak and Metro-North express service to fly by without disrupting traffic.
