Remarks & Notes
The southbound Amtrak Arrowhead rolls across the former Great Northern high bridge over the Nemadji River south of Superior, Wis. This river cut a deep valley into the topography south of Superior requiring GN, Soo, DMIR and CNW to build rather impressive bridges to gain access to the area. This bridge was removed and BN rerouted trains via a new connection over the nearby Soo Line bridge.
