VIA’s westbound Train 1 with candy stripe FP-9 1407 leading has just exited CP’s 5-mile long Connaught Tunnel at Glacier, B.C. on Aug. 12, 1981 (the day before the above two photos of Train 1) to begin its descent to Revelstoke.
