| This high speed trainset now named Lyria but before named POS (Paris - Ostfrankreich - Süddeutschland) translation in English: "Paris - East of France - South of Germany". The POS trainsets were going to Germany and Switzerland from Paris-Est station on the East high speed line but since 2012 all the 19 POS trainsets run to these countries from Paris Gare de Lyon station and on the new high speed Rhin-Rhone line with new operator name: Lyria.
The first trainset POS 4401 in this picture have make some validation tests for new engines. This is the same kind of trainset who holds the world speed record and has run at 574,8 Km/h in April 2007. The second coupled trainset on this picture is the POS 4404 who has participate in coaching and routing the world record trainset (see this trainset: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=209782 and the world record picture: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=227277). |
