| The Ngogo and Buffalo River valleys provide the background for this shot of one of the newest 6E1 to 18E rebuilds, 18-762, leading three classmates up the ruling 1 in 66 grade between Ingogo and Mount Prospect on the climb up Majuba Pass. The railway line between Newcastle in kwaZulu-Natal and Volksrust in Mpumalanga was first opened in 1891 and today crosses the Drakensberg (Dragon mountains) on its third alignment. |
